MOTHERSHIP TOURS ON THE BRITISH COLUMBIA COAST ABOARD THE LUXURY HERITAGE VESSEL COLUMBIA III. ECO TOURS: ~ SEA KAYAKING ~ CULTURAL ~ NATURAL HISTORY Join us for the exhilarating and unforgettable mothership adventure of your dreams! Extraordinary wildlife viewing, breathtaking landscapes and warm, hospitable crew combines to thoroughly satisfy and delight every guest! “Paddling softly through some of the hundreds of islands in the Broughton Archipelago must be one of the most magical kayaking experiences available, especially when eagles, sea lions, and whales join in the fun. Add to this the comforts and first class hospitality of the beautifully outfitted Columbia III and it’s little wonder that I’ve rated the Mothership Adventure as one of the best” Chris McBeath, author, Frommers 2007 Guide to Vancouver Island, Gulf Islands and San Juan Islands.www.greatestgetaways.com Great travel escapes in British Columbia and beyond, by Travelink Publishing. "I have never so thoroughly enjoyed every minute of a week. Everything has been more wonderful then we could have ever dreamed!" - Alberta We offer a variety of sea kayak tours where we paddle each day and return to the mothership each night. With our fast and stable double kayaks carried on board, we explore the remote wilderness areas of coastal British Columbia rarely visited by other kayakers. Accompanied by qualified naturalist guides we kayak through glacial fed waters amongst lushly forested islands dotted with ancient First Nations village sites while observing the numerous species of local marine and terrestrial wildlife including orca killer whales, dolphins, harbour seals, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles and deer. After each event filled day, we return to the warmth and security of the Columbia III and begin an evening of gourmet food, conversation, laughter and relaxation. We also offer exceptional eco tours including settler’s history cruises, natural history cruises and First Nations cultural cruises for everyone curious to learn about and explore this diverse and fascinating coast. The natural history of the coast unfolds, the dramas of the early settlers are retold, and the rich First Nation’s history comes alive for us as we learn from our accomplished tour leaders. Our sturdy skiff transports us on shore outings to view ancient totem poles, teaming tidal pools and verdant rainforests. Best of all, we travel the coast in total comfort aboard the historic Columbia III who has faithfully plied these waters for over 50 years. Each night we’ll find a new quiet anchorage or tie to a quaint, coastal community dock, and always there’s the great food and companionship that travelling with a small group fosters. "Everyone says there is no such thing as perfect. I have to disagree. My experience with you was perfect." - California All our eco tours and kayak tours use the Columbia III as our luxurious traveling home.
